10 half’s for 10 years

I’ve set myself a personal challenge: to run 10 half marathons in one year in memory of my mum, who sadly passed away from leukaemia in 2017.

I will begin this journey on 27th September 2026 - the 9th anniversary of her passing - by taking part in the Swindon Half Marathon. From there, I’ll complete eight more races over the following year, finishing with a final half marathon in North Wales in September 2027. As this is where my mum passed away, ending the challenge there will be incredibly meaningful to me.

Running has never come naturally to me, so this will be a real test of determination and resilience. But it’s nothing compared to the strength and courage my mum showed throughout her battle.

My goal is to raise £200 per race, but I would love to exceed this and raise as much as possible to support the fight against this devastating disease.
