Dad was and would still be the proudest dad! You go Lucas he will be cheering you on. I’m so proud mum xxx
7 years ago I lost my father who had been living with Myeloma for a number of years. He was the strongest person I knew and never let any treatment or pain get in the way of raising my brother and I into responsible young adults, or at least just young adults! A gentleman, he supported my Mum through everything, resulting in the happiest of memories from our childhood. He truly was my best friend, I miss him everyday and I do my upmost best to make him proud at everything I do.
Since his passing I have learnt more about the disease and treatments available, to raise money and awareness for this cause is a pleasure. The work and research that go into to help and support for families is amazing.
Running has never been a Bowdery trait so from completing my first 5k less than 6 months ago, this is still quite the challenge for me. We did once however complete the Sport Relief Mile Dad, James and I! I would also like to thank James and Alex, two of my closest friends who are running the race with me and fundraising for the same cause it means a lot more than they know!
So if you can spare the change from a cup of coffee or a pint at the pub, your support goes an extremely long way!
