For you Liz x

Liz, was a cherished and beautiful close friend to our family, she was also a wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Her sudden death in July 2022 from a rare type of Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APML) left a profound void in all of our hearts. Despite experiencing various symptoms leading up to her passing, Liz was not granted the opportunity to fight the illness head-on, as her diagnosis for APML only came to light on the day of her tragic death.

Her memory resonates deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her loss has reverberated through countless lives, both young and old.

In memory of Liz and to help prevent other families from enduring similar loss and severe anguish, I am embarking on completing the Manchester Marathon 2024 to raise funds for Leukaemia UK.

My goal is to help raise crucial funds for the charity, support their work, and increase awareness about the early signs of APML. By doing so, we can hopefully help others to have the opportunity for early diagnosis, prompt intervention, and treatment for this aggressive disease.
